A wedding filled with vintage and beach theme elements. We added a bit of fun to the reception by tying the sashes diagonally — not so typical! Check out the photos below.
I am delighted to be the decorator for Florence and Jerry’s wedding. The couple has chosen the Estates of Sunnybrook to host their wedding. The Estates of Sunnybrook is one of my favourite places; it has a lot of character and charm, by fusing traditional architecture with modern interior design.
In addition to working with the awesome couple, I also get to see some of my awesome friends on the wedding day, including Peggy Lee and Eric Choi.
Peggy is an talented makeup artist. Like always, I saw her working the magic on Florence, but then again the bride already has a beautiful canvas to work with. Eric is another fabulous person to work with. His photos always capture the precious moments of the wedding day, not to mention his work is always consistently beautiful.
Check out the photos of Florence and Jerry’s wedding. Some photos are courtesy of Eric Choi. Enjoy!
Congratulations Kema and Lawrence! You two look wonderful together. May your love for each other continue to grow each day.
Kema is a red girl, which means she must have red in her wedding. The groom prefers to have some black and white element in the wedding to keep it formal. When the couple told me that their wedding colour is red, black, and white, the word “Gothic” immediately just crossed my mind. However, having a totally Gothic wedding may be too taboo for the couple’s family. Also, Kema would like to have a fairytale wedding, just like how many girls dream to have one for their wedding day.
Who would imagine that a fairytale wedding can be combined with a Gothic-coloured theme? Well, we sure pull this one off. We have used red and black as accent colours, to make these bold colours more stealth. To achieve a fairytale look, we have used twinkle lights everywhere — backdrop, tables, and the arch. We have also added a ceiling drape to soften the atmosphere.
Below are some of the photos taken from hall, note that this hall has been decorated for dual usage (ceremony and reception). The arch is removed after the ceremony, the ceremony chairs are re-used for the guest tables, and the ceremony table is used as the cake table after the ceremony.
Congrats to the newlyweds Amy and Imraz! It has been my pleasure to work with the two of you. Like how everyone from your wedding said so, I just want to tell you that your wedding is purely AWWWWESSSOMMMEE!!!
During our first consultation, Amy and Imraz already brought in a lot of their inspirational pictures. Most of them suggest a black and white theme. So, I offered the couple some advices on the latest black and white trends (such as the use of damask pattern), and how adding some bling bling (crystal elements) would add a modern touch to their wedding. I am glad that you two love the final effect of the wedding decorations 🙂
Amy and Imraz had their wedding reception at Riviera Parque (http://www.rivieraparque.com/), which is one of the largest banquet halls in Ontario with 20 ft ballroom ceilings. If you would like to wow your guests with a jaw-dropping atmosphere, this is the venue for you!
The following is another great review for Secrets Floral from the couple.
Congratulations Sherri-Anne and Atiba! You two are one of the sweetest couples that I have ever met.
Sherri-Anne and Atiba have an orchid wedding theme, so we have added orchids in the bouquet, centrepieces, and arrangements. To add a modern twist to their wedding, we have added a lot of crystals to make it all glittery, and have used cooler colours like silver, blue, and black in the linens and backdrop. Yet, we ensured the wedding is still cozy by adding a lot of candles.
If you are wondering which venue is this, with some much natural sunlight . . . it is the Manor at Kettleby. It is a wonderful places with friendly and helpful staffs. Bride-to-be’s, check this place out if you are still searching for a venue 🙂
